2007 Feature Lines

I really like the feature lines in 2007 for doing islands, parking lots, ect. I have also been using them to do contour tie-ins. Basically i draw the feature line where i want the contour to run. Is there a way to convert that feature line to a contour line? I can usually get it to work, but i have to spend a lot of time editing TIN lines after i put them in my surface. I have tried adding them as contour lines instead of breaklines, but it doesnt let me do that.

It's not supported so I'll get it added to the wish list. For now you'll
either have to go with breaklines or explode the feature lines to add them
as polylines. If the feature line has a constant elev it will explode to a
2d polyline, otherwise you'll get a 3d poly. Both can be used as contour
data.

If you explode the feature lines you'll lose any arcs you had, however many
of the feature line editing commands will also work with 3d polylines.

Thanks for the response Glen. I am using the 2d poly's right now and switching to Land desktop for certain things right now.

the power of feature lines come when you need vertices to have different
elevations- at least in my experience.

could you just do them as regular polylines?
