I am always the same user, and I am my own administrator so I have every
right there is.
I am allergic to docking, so my OPM is never docked. The only fix I have
found to that one is to leave C3D and come back in...

Dana and Jeff,
are you still seeing these numbers instaed of "side..." etc? Jeff is right
that there is a C3DStockSubassemblyScriptsRC.dll file to translate these
strings into readable words. It is perplexing to know that some times it
shows alright and other times not. Are you logging in each timne as same
user? can you tell me what user rights you have on that login?
About "can't click in SA props" issue - i have seen that quite often and
pursuing it with AutoCAD Team. A workaround (you might already know) is to
undock the OPM and you will be able to edit them.

This is starting to happen to me in the past few days. I would get no
descriptions, sometimes just a frame around the palette image, or other
times things would work OK.
I've tried a reinstall (twice). That seems to work for a while, but then
the problem reappears. Nothing seems to be amiss for any of the pathing;
the application shows the right folder for the palettes and images. The VB
code looks OK. Reloading the palettes generally does not fix the problem,
although it may sometimes add the catalog descriptions.
I've taken apart just about every file associated with the program. The
strange thing is that everything looks OK. I've cleaned out TEMP folders,
the PREFETCH folder, looked at the Registry, etc. The only thing I can find
that may be suspect is in the ATC file for a palette there is a path
variable in the macro module tag -
Maybe the value of AECCCONTENT_DIR gets lost somehow.
I've even tried a repair on the .NET 2 framework. The palettes did work
once after doing this, but the second time I tried it it had no effect, so
I'm guessing it's probably a chance occurrance.
My best guess now is that it is a DLL. I don't remember having this problem
before I used some of the Map functions, but again, I can't say for sure
that's what started it. Before the first reinstall, I was getting Unhandled
Exception erros when I exited the program
I'm still looking for a solution. Maybe it's going to be a service pack
fix. I have 2006 on my system and it works fine.
Here's hoping!
