'08 LTSCALE change, X-ref's unreadable?

I just "upgraded" to c3d '08, two projects now say McSid aerial images are unreadable, they were fine in '07 with LTSCALE set to 50 (final plot scale). In '08 LTSCALE is 1 (as help says) to correct linetypes appearance. Has this screwed up the inserted images and/or x-refs? Went back to '07 and opened an '07 dwg and the Sid's are fine. HELP PLEASE
.

You need to install the Raster Design OE. That should solve the problem as far as I know.

You're mixing two different, unrelated issues.

The LTSCALE/PSLTSCALE variables have been around for some time, now.......no
behavior difference that I can think of since they were introduced.

Thanks, I had downloaded a Object Enabler but not the Raster Image Object Enabler. The images came back!
