station offset label

I have a station label like the one pictured at the top of my attached file.

I would like to revise it so that in dragged state, it looks like the label at the bottom of the picture. (in the picture, it has been exploded and moved)

The only way I can figure out how to have two labels that look like this is to have two different styles.

One points up and the other points down.

Any ideas?

Thanks.

Hi Mike,

Is this someting you want to achieve using Civil 3D API / programming ?

If you intend to achieve this using UI tools, then you can probably use two different styles as you said (did you try that ?)

Thanks,

Partha

I would like to do it using the UI tools, and I can accomplish it making two different styles.

I was hoping to figure out how to do it with one style if possible.

It seems like a good portion of the time, when you want to use a C3D label in a dragged state, you end up needing mulitple styles to make the label behave correctly depending on which quadrant it's being dragged to.

Thanks for the input.

You can't hold down cntrl and select the one label and flip it?

I'm assuming that works the same as hovering over the grip and choosing "Rotate label".

Can't believe I didn't think of that. Mental block I guess..... or a brain fart. 🙂

I think that will work.

Thanks.
