Lost all Layer Settings

Hello all,

I'm hoping someone out there has a solution. I am running Civil 3D 2008. I have a large file, 30mb, with 30 paper space tabs. The file was completely setup viewport wise; all the layers had been frozen on/off to show appropriate data on each tab. I go back in today and all my viewports have lost the settings. The file has about 1500 layers, and to recreate the setups would take 30Plus hours at least. I need a lisp, or an example of something similar, that will copy all the settings from one file into another. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Also before it is suggested, I cannot import the tabs & settings using the create tab from template as every time I do the program crashes with a fatal error. I've also tried to bring in the tabs using design center but the settings do not come with the tabs this way.

Thanks,
Mike S.

Do you have a .bak backup file? Or are you using Vault, where you can grab a
previous version?

I do have a previous version. I have been trying to import settings using a number of different methods, but with no luck.

Take a copy of that file - RECOVER it.

Pull your layouts out and into a bunch of other drawings.
