I've worked through creating Pressure Pipe fittings from STEP files provided by a vendor, but when I try to create a network with my new parts, nothing appears or is added to my prospector. AutoCAD acts like it created pipes and fittings (no error messages) but nothing is drawn or added to the network.
If I set to one of the provided AWWA catalogs and create a network from my Pline, I get pipes.
What gives? What step or setting am I missing that makes my new catalog create null, empty or blank objects?
Thanks (again).

I've seen many posts pointing to the Autodesk document describing the process on creating new pipe catalogs and importing fittings, but I haven't seen anyone discuss the way that they have actually gone through the process. I know that some of you have, can you share your experience?
Thanks (still debugging).
Also, what process do you use to create a pipe? I just filled out the data in the Content Editor, but that doesn't seem to work. Do I need to create a 3DSOLID segment of pipe and create a CONTENT file like the fittings?
Solved! Simple typo. I was using a quote mark for my descriptions in Content Catalog Editor and that was throwing it off. Use two single quotes for inch marks in all your descriptions.
Solution was found in this Autodesk University Online class:
This is a very good discussion on building Pressure Pipe networks.
Here's my step-by-step for importing STEP files (or other 3D model), using Content Catalog Editor and creating a Parts List, from start to finish. There were a couple of things that weren't really spelled out in some of the Blogs I read and I've included the tips I've learned doing this. Enjoy!
