How to reconnect Pipe with Structure

I have created one Pipe connected with start and end structures. I want to reconnect the pipe to some other structure. For this I am following these steps.
1. Disconnecting the Pipe from start and end structures.
2. Disconnecting the Start and End structures with the Pipe.
3. Connecting again the Pipe with different start and end Structures.
First two steps are working fine but third step fails.
I also retrieved the connectors collection before and after disconnecting but number of connectors are still same. Also I have tried deleting each connector from the collection but still the number of connectors is not decremented. I have looked the discussion topics, it seems to be a bug.

Any workaround to reconnect the pipe? I am using C++ COM API with Civil 3D 2008 SP2.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Try running an Audit command and then repeat your process again. I have encountered this before with Pipes and so many other parts of Civil 3D. I am now auditing as much and as often as I am saving (pretty much every "intelligent" command)

I ran audit after disconnecting pipe. Running Audit doesn't show any errors.
