dynamic feature line from corridor.

Hi.

I like the dynamic feature line from corridor but it has one limitation.

If there is a curve in corridor, then, the feature line doesn´t have a real arc.

So, I think  that Civil 3D should ask us if we want a feature line with real arcs instead of small lines in the curve when we use the command: get "feature line from corridor"

I have to create my own feature line with real arc (to create a grading in one side of corridor) but then it is not dynamic.

Nothing in a corridor uses arcs. Increase the frequency in the curved section is the best you can do. It would be nice if corridors were redesigned to create actual geometry, but I don't see that happening anytime soon.

Hi Jeff !

We have some troubles because sometimes there is overlapping in some curve of the corridor.

So, we can create a feature line from corridor and create a grading from its. However, sometimes this method can´t resolve the trouble and we have to create a feature line manually with real arcs.

In this case, when we create a grading form my user feature line(but is not dynamic), the grading is fine.

Look at this topic:

Specially the videos.

Thanks.

The trouble is this:

Although I increase the interval of curved section, there is overlapping. If I create a "feature line from corridor" in that scenario, and then I create a grading with that FL, I will get the same result.

So, you have to create a feature line with real arc and insert Elevation Points in the middle of the curve of F.L if you need them.
