Create a Custom Linetype

I need a line type that looks like this

- - - - <-> - - - -

I can get a solid line with the <-> by using keyboard symbols, I just need the main line

dashed.

Here is what I have with a soild line and the symbols;

*ANNEX,ANNEX ---<->---<->---
A,2,-.02,["<->",STANDARD,S=.05,R=0.0,x=0.0,Y=-.022],-.16

Just cant figure out how to make the line dashed.

Suggestions?

TIA

Robert

Try posting in the AutoCAD forum, this one is more for programming issues so doesn't get as much traffic as this one.

You're on the right track.  the 2 starts a dash and then the -.02 starts a gap.  But then you go right to the brackets.  Try this:

*ANNEX,ANNEX ---<->---<->---
A,2,-.02,2,-.02,2,-.02,["<->",STANDARD,S=.05,R=0.0,x=0.0,Y=-.022],-.16

EDIT:  A positive number is "Pen DOWN (start dash), then go X distance".  A negative number is "Pen UP (start gap) and go Y distance".
