Hello colleagues,
I have created a basic Alignment Station Offset label that works about the way we want it to. I have the annotation currently set as a bottom right justify due to the fact that we need to drag these labels to the bottom of the view port and have the leader attach to the bottom right of the text. I have also added a line under my text that is 100% the length of the text. I have it lined up how I want and need it.
My question is multi part. I would like to have my annotation to be bottom left justified so we can drag the annotation to the same page vertical location. However when I do that, the leader also attaches to the bottom left. I can move the leader “tail” to the bottom right, but that can get very time consuming.
I have tried to create new label from scratch starting with the line anchored to the feature, then the annotation to the line. But since the two depend on each other, I had to create a second line that was anchored to my text, with my first line being 0.1” long and anchored to the feature. But when I drag, the leader does not attach to the bottom right.
What am I missing? Do I need an expression? Any help?
As a bonus question, at times the vertical annotation needs to be horizontal due to view port size restrictions… anyway to have the same style also be able to grip rotate and have the leader act like a dimension leader? (Where it attached to the bottom of the component closest to the feature.
Thank in advanced.
This is one way to solve it, if I understand your final goal: http://blog.civil3dreminders.com/2010/01/station-offset-label-aligned-on-sheet.html
Solves it in a different manner.
