Access Note Label text via .NET

I am working on a routine to search and replace text in NoteLabel.  I have found where I can replace the text by using SetTextComponentOverride(), but I cannot find a read or get method. 

I am hoping that there is something that I am missing so I don't have to use COM.

The GetTextComponentOverride() method returns the unformatted string for the TextComponent. Note that it returns a value even if it is not overridden. Unformatted means that if the label is set to display the Northing, the text returned is not the northing, rather it is the expression shown in the LabelStyleComposer when adding the Property to display.
