Problem when i plot

Hi All,

So I'm having a really strange issue when plotting for one particular site plan drawing.  When I go to plot preivew (or just plot) there are strange small black dots appearing all over the sheet.  The dots are not visible when working in model or paper space, and there is nothing to select either.  I've tried changing the PDMODE, which didn't help.  I've tried xrefing it into a whole new drawing, which didn't work either.  Also, when I plot from the original file (not the Xref) there are no dots to be seen!  Plot settings are identical for both.

I'm using AutoCAD Architecture 2015.

Where are these annoying dots coming from? And how do I get rid of them?  Please Help!
