XREF Display Question

I have a ACA file that has 5 wall styles. 1 Existing and 3 New. In the original file they display as Existing (not hatched) and New (hatched). When I xref them into a new drawing the patterns flip. The Existing is hatched and the new are not. I am using the Medium display for the original file and the reflected for the xref file. Help?
