WISH LIST ITEMS

Not sure where the wish lists went, but here are two items:

1. The ability to use symbols in Schedules (i.e. door & window tags) - to be more specific: the ability to use the MVBs.

2. A screened door assembly? (main door swings in; screened door swings out)

For number 2, if all you need are plan graphics, set up a Door Style that uses the Communicating Door Type (right side of the Design Rules tab of the Door Style Properties). That shows to panels and two swings on one frame, on opposite sides of the Wall. If you need the graphics for the screen door to be different, or you need accurate 3D modeling, then you will need to use custom blocks.

David, That's perfect for a single door.  What about a double door, with a double screen door?

Unfortunately, there is no Double Communicating door type.  There are also the Single-Dhung and Double-Dhung types, but these are really meant for double-acting doors, and only show one door panel, with a swing that goes on both sides.

You would have to start with a Double and add custom block(s) to represent the screen doors if you want a panel shown on both sides.

To add to the wish list, some might be an easier fix than others:

1.  Allow keyboard shortcut for all commands.  i.e. Systems>Lighting Device

2.  The ability to tag data from non-primary connectors.  (i.e. if an electrical device has 2 electrical connectors)

3.  The ability to copy/monitor all model family category types.

4.  Compatibility with .SHX font type

@ahagner:

Welcome to the community!

Are these AutoCAD Architecture wishes or Revit MEP wishes?  You may want to start a new thread in the Revit MEP forum if you want Revit MEP users and/or development team to see these.  Or, if you can get there before 6:00 pm US Pacific Time today (October 7, 2015), post to the Revit Answer Day forum.
