Wall Cleanup

How can I show the CMU vertical walls in this photo butting up against the stud in the horizontal wall? Please use layman terms as best as possible in describing how to fix this problem.

Without knowing how the Wall Styles are defined, how the Walls are justified and what Wall Cleanup Groups have been assigned, a precise description of the fix will difficult to give.  You need to examine the priority assigned to each Wall component in both Wall Styles (on the Components tab, when editing the Wall Style).  Components with lower numbers cut through components with higher numbers when two Walls cleanup.

In your image, it would appear that where you have overlapping CMU and studs that the two Walls are not cleaning up at all, as the two components run through each other.  The out-of-the-box CMU component priority (300) is lower than the out-of-the-box Stud component priority (500), so the CMU should interrupt the stud, if the Walls were cleaning up.
