wall cleanup in xref autcad 2011

Im using autocad arch 2011.

i have buildings that are xrefed from a complex plan into a floorplan drawing and im xcliping the xrefs to show certain areas. Most of all the xclips have the walls cleaning up except for a few, but if i just move that xclip over a few feet then the walls clean up, but if i move it back to the orginal location the walls wont clean up.

i have the wall cleanup between host and xref drawings checked,

Does the area beyond the XCLIP boundary of any extenal reference overlap the visible area of any other external reference? ACA will still try to clean up Walls that are in the area beyond the XCLIP. If you can, separate the external references so there is no overlap. The alternative would be to disable Wall cleanup between host and external references.
