unknown Textstyles appearing in file

Having an issue with my file. I created a new mtext leader and it is set to one scale of 1/4" it shows fine in model space and paper space. Then when edit my drawings to try to add hatch or dim. there is a large text that appears in the back ground. If anyone can help that would be appriciated. Thank you!

Perhaps you just need to turn off ANNOALLVISIBLE variable (describe in HELP) or explore ANNORESET if the issue is the other scales of the text are no where near the scale you have active.

I attempted both and it is still showing in the back ground. I can only see it when I go to add a hatch to the drawing and I have deleted the text and added the notes back to the drawing.

How about setting SELECTIONANNODISPLAY to 0? Does that clear it up?

If not, please post a sample drawing here and I can check it out for you.
