Trimming Hatch

I have autocad architecture 2014 and need to trim hatch, but i can not do it.  in previous releases of autocad we were able to trim hatch but now it seems like we can not.  does anyone know what is going on here?

Are you sure it's a hatch?
Are you sure the layer is not locked?
Are you sure the trim line to selected is wide enough to cover the parameters of the hatch?

90% of the time, its the last one if not the first two. If you disagree, post the DWG file.

It is a user defined hatch. The layer is not locked and if I draw a line
through the hatched area it won't let me trim it.

A custom hatch? Do you have this hatch file (as in, can you recreate it in anew empty drawing?
Or 'user defined' which in AutoCAD's HATCH command only draws lines at angles?

Any chance you can share a DWG file with the problem?

It is the hatch that is in AutoCAD where you can have it draw lines at a
certain angle and a certain distance apart and you can double the lines to
where they are perpendicular to each other.

Can you post/share a DWGF with the problem? Seems to work just fine here.
