transparent trees in realistic elevation view

Hello,

I am doing an (realistic) elevation of a building with many trees in front. I want to make the trees transparent but when I override the graphics view to transparent, the trees disappear. I also tried to edit the family material and nothing changed in realistic view. The transparency option does work in shaded with edges, consistent colors, and hidden line. Does anybody know how to get it to work in realistic?

Are you sure you're in the right forum? Families belong in revit.

I've had success with using glass as my material. But it only works well when I do a render, not realistic.
