title mark callout scale not working?

when i drag over a view onto the sheet and add a title marker the scale doesnt show up.... isnt it supposed to update this automatically?

let me clarify, the scale text shows up but does not say any scale at all. had to manually type the scale.

You need to check the Filed to see that it points to the correct Viewport
Scale. Double click the Attribute, pick the Field, R/C, select Edit Filed,
and see where it points to.

You shouldn't have to update or edit the field. It should read the viewport on insert. Not that it ever has. But it should.

I have had this happen on occasion, usually on geometry I titled before creating the view. In those cases the solution was to drag the offending text on to the layout on the sheet tab to relink the scale.
