I'd define the edges with lines, arcs, 2dpoly's, or 3Dpoly's as needed
(they have to touch at their endpoints), then use EDGESURF to create an
old-style polygon mesh by picking the edges in order.
Set SURFTAB1 and SURFTAB2 ahead of time to determine the number of
facets in each direction.
If you need to cut holes in this, it's a bit problematic with 2008
because THICKEN does not support polygon meshes in that version (it does
in 2010 by converting them first to surfaces).
One solution would be to use M2S.lsp to extrude the mesh into a 3D
solid, then copy the resulting solid down a quarter inch or so, and
subtract the lower one from the upper one. I just happen to have a copy. 😉
This will give you a faceted solid, so set the mesh density high enough
with SURFTAB1 and SURFTAB2 to make it smooth enough for your final
presentation.
