Space orientation

I am trying to generate spaces from a bpoly or from the auto generate by
pick point. There are a few things I would like to know how to do yet. It
seems I am not allowed to generate spaces by pick point where a room bound
by walls overlaps an existing space. Is there a way to ignore existing
spaces when generating spaces by pick point? We are currently drawing one
plan on top of another in the same file.

I have found that when generating spaces from polylines the orientation /
rotation angle is based on the line clockwise from the start point. Is
there a way to change the orientation / rotation angle of the space without
rotating it?

Thanks in advance

When Generating spaces, there is an option on the properties palette to
allow overlapping spaces.

I haven't found it yet if there is.
