Sorry Guys...

...But AutoCAD continues to be the worst application Ever (regardless of purpose). It sucks resources, hangs, fails, and overall sucks, on computers that are designed & built to rip through anything (i.e. i7 w7 64bit 6+gb ram, etc). And, Phil Bernstein is the worst teacher I ever had (personal experience, of course) and corporate leader ever. He is a true protege of the baby boomers - like ripping people off and skrewin them with crppy products and no accountability. I know this is going to make a lot of people upset, but the tyranny and pathetic performance must be accounted for and we deserve a rebate. ACA should not have the price tag it does. That is why I will ensure that every company I work for only pays for one license (but deploys 15 to 50+) and I block all ACA contact to headquarters with their firewalls. I will make sure that none of my clients are ever ripped off by Autodesk again (100s of direct contact users + influence & blogs). You cannot win against me. I will pwn you Adesk. Get to work and stop buying other peoples hard work.

"be the worst application Ever "

If its so bad, why not choose another program from another vendor?

Your logic doesn't hold much water.

LOL, sounds kinda like Billy Crystal as Miracle Max in Princess Bride says,
"to blathe". Is he going to pawn Autodesk (hope he gets a good price) or
own them (must have some spare cash).
If nobody bought other peoples hard work then we'd not eat unless we are
farmers!
Can't say I'd mind a rebate though.

Nice...

I suspect Autodesk Legal will be retaining a copy of this one for future
evidence...

Your age is showing, Nathan! "Pwn" is 'net lingo used by the 33 and under crowd.
I'm going to place the OP closer to the young 20-something end, though, given the general tone of the rant and other language modifiers.

Pwn is a bastardization of "own" which was originally used when you meant you'd so thouroughly defeated someone in a game that you'd become their master. "Owned" -> Pwn'd!

Of course, you could have known that and I've just fallen into the sarchasm. (The divide between someone who floats a sarcastic line and someone who takes it literally.)

you said....."AutoCAD continues to be the worst application Ever (regardless

ok

but then you say...

"That is why I will ensure that every company I work for only pays for one
license (but deploys 15 to 50+) "

why would you use it if you think it sux? (even so far as to steal it?).
You would risk legal consequences for something you think isnt worth it?

pwn? did you seriously say that?

riddle me this.. how much money does the company you work for make using
autodesk tools?

"You cannot win against me."

I doubt they even knew they were competing against you. 'They' (Adesk) are the 4th-5th largest software company in the world, so rants like this really don't have an impact. Now if you have specific issues you'd care to share, I'm sure we'd all help if we can.

So, what are the odds that this person is purely lying on about everything
he says just to cause a ruckus. Who knows but what he may be a sales rep
for a competitor.

As our IT guy says, this sounds like USER ERROR to me.

"If I can't get it to work right, there must be something wrong with the PROGRAM."

Sure, genius. It can't possibly be you. Go cry about it somewhere else.

Or...you could take a deep breath, read the help menu every once in a while, and LEARN something.

As I have learned over the years... computers (ie: software) will do what you tell it to do, not what you want it to do.
