I'm curious.
Around here a 1.5:12 slope would be plenty for the metal roof alone to serve
as roofing. Why the roofing memrane, recovery board, which seems like it
shouldn't be on new insulation anyway and then another vapor barrier etc.?
Have you tried a slabedge style to extend the metal roofing?

Hey everyone,
I'm putting together a roof slab with the following elements...
- 1-1/2" Metal Roofing.........................................Top
- Roofing Membrane
- 5/8" Recovery Board
- 4" Rigid Insulation Board
- 4" Rigid Insulation Board (8" total)
- 10mil Vapor Retarder
- 1/2" Gyp Board
- 3" Metal Deck.................................................Bottom
With the following properties...
- Slope of 1.5:12
- Plumb cut from Roofing Membrane through the 3" Metal Deck.
- 1-1/2" Metal Roofing shall extend 6-1/2" beyond the edge of the other
components (all four sides).
My question...
Is it possible to do this with one slab object, or would it be better to do
it with multiple? I've developed a composite slab with all of the
components, but can't figure out how to extend the 1-1/2" metal deck past
the other components.
Thanks in advance,
Dan
