Size of tools in Ribbon can be resized?

AutoCAD Architecture 2014 ("Global" profile) - will like to know if the size of the Ribbon can  be resized making everyting, including the tools, smaller.

Intention is to have the "full"  Ribbon on display with all its default tools seen, but occupying less real state window space.

(I think we used to be able to do that with the old Clasic layout - can it be done also with the Ribbon?)

Thanks in advance.

If you edit your CUIX file, you could choose from various options for the Button Style of each tool:

  • Large with Text (Vertical)
  • Large with Text (Horizontal)
  • Small With Text
  • Small Without Text
  • Large Without Text

Doing so to reduce the size of all of the larger tools would be tedious and may not do much to reduce the overall vertical size of the ribbon.  You would just end up with more blank space around the formerly large tools.  (Maybe if all of the panels on a tab were set up to use just two rows, instead of three, it might get smaller.  Even so, restructuring all of the panels to do that would be an enormous undertaking that I would not willingly undertake.)

There is no global choice between "Large Icons" and "Small Icons" that would change the overall vertical height as there was for toolbar tools.  If you want the full ribbon to display all the time, you will have to give up that screen real estate.
