Schedules Export to Excel

question for using the schedules "Export to excel"

all our data is formatted in feet and inches, like for a door schedule it would need to be 3'-0" x 7'-0" not 36 x 84.

Some schedules give me the option to format and some do not. Does anyone know why the export options may change and what variables in the schedules change them.

example:

\After hitting OK to export to excel as in "picture 1" another window opens that allows me to choose alternative formatting (picture 2).

Thanks

Todd

Hi Todd,

Basically, the convert format dialog appears when a numeric property is using a unit format "Architectural".

If the property displayed in the table is an automatic property, then the convert format dialog will be displayed.
If the property is a formula property, then it will depend how the formula is built.
Most likely, the numeric value is converted to a text in the formula in order to display the fractional part. In this case the formula property is considered as a text. In the export from the schedule table, because it is considered as a text, it does not need to convert the format of the numeric value and the convert format dialog will not appear.

You can check how the fields are defeined in the property set definition:
In the "Style Manager", "Documentation objects" , "Property Set Definitions" , select the property set that is used in the table, check the size properties (width, height).
