Room Tag Woes

The Aec Room Tag Basic P tag has the text inside the box to Fit and we want
to edit the text. Where do I edit that? I tried inserting the block and
exploding and redefining and weird things happen. The boxes get larger and
the room tages already in the dwg do no update. Any help is appreciated.

You tagged a space to get the room tag, correct? If so, then the tag data is being pulled from the space itself. Go to the space item, right click and choose properties (or just highlight the space and open the properties palette.) The Room Name will be on the "Design" tab, while the Number is located on the "Extended Data" tab.

Hope that helps.

No.. The room names and numbers are coming out fine. The number itself is
the wrong WIDTH. I edit and redefine the block and nothing updates. even
if I reinsert the tag onto a space the number is to FIT. For instance the
number 11 is the same width as 111111121....?????????? This for some reason
was thought to be better. Anywho...Strange things happen.
Thanx...Also....I want the room nuber to be 0011, not 11. Thanx

Use the ATTSYNC command after redefining your block. I'm not sure if that
works on Multi-View blocks though.

As for making it read "0011", go to Style Manager - Documentation Objects -
Property Data Formats - Number-Object, and change the Zero Padding to 4.

ATTSYNC doesn't work with MVblocks.
If you need to change the justification of the the text in the tag, open the
block in the Block Editor, change the text justification to whatever you
want
and save. From memory, existing blocks with not update, you will have to
retag.

To update existing Schedule Tags (or any other Multi-View Block), use the MVBLOCK command, Update option. When changes to attributes in a view block are made, be certain to say "Yes" when prompted: "Update attribute text style and effects also?"
