"License error" Architecture 2008

I get this on a couple machines in the office, several times a week. These are stand alone installs on desktops, we have no machines with network licenses. What's up?

Do you notice this problem while in certain files, but not others?

We had this recently, while batch plotting to pdf a very large set. Our
reseller tech said it's a known glitch that sometimes occurs when
processing large amounts of data, and that if it persists a reinstall
will usually fix it.

Dean, I don't think it's common to certain files, but the two machines that get it the most do only have 2 gigs of RAM...We were looking into jacking those up to 4 anyway, so hioefully that'll stop the errors

Nope, I've reinstalled both afflicted machines

That won't help, but you never know.

Reason I ask is it happened to a friend in some files but not others, we
fixed it by unchecking the box in Options>Save tab called something like
Maintain Visual Fidelity...
Note that it crashes the file you are in when you first change it and QSAVE,
but it works fine and the problem went away after that.
Again, only on this one PC, I've never had it myself or others here.

I get this error fairly often on random machines in the office. It occurs when saving. An Invalid License error pops up and is usually followed by and error and a crash of the software. It seems to last a few days then mysteriously go away. Its incredibly frustrating. Re-install does nothing, my local Acad support people have no idea what to do about it. I keep hoping someone will come up with something to deal with this.

That normally appears when your system is running out of resources (RAM is
only one part): try purging your files regularly and run RECOVER to fix
then. Also run VBAMAN and unload any vba code running.

It has nothing to do with your license and no reinstall will fix it: it's
your PC's limitations choking it.
