I am trying to create a pipe railing that is attached to an accessible ramp. The posts are to be mounted to the outside of the stringers (not to the deck). The posts are to extend below the deck by about 6". The railings are centered on the posts.
When I move the rail to the edge of the ramp, the lower post extensions drop to the full depth of the stringers.
How can I get the posts to "attach" to the side of the ramp? Also, is there a way to get the stringers to clean up with the ramp deck? (Have tried both truncate and cleanup.)
