once again about 64 bits ...

No news for some weeks about that essential topic ?
I'm waiting for updating to ACA 2008 (and to new hardware) to be sure that it will be efficient on 64 bits platforms.
If it's not scheduled by Autodesk, it means, for me, that it is the end of this software...
Thanks for news !

Autodesk has never said that they were going to update ACA '08 to natively
support a 64-bit OS.

In fact, they did say that they WOULD NOT EVER support it for ACA '08. So,
I don't know what you thought you were waiting on.

However, you can be pretty sure that '09 will be released by April (only 3
months away now, and the usual date for the Architecture product release
after the annual March release of regular Acad), and all indications are
that it will support a 64-bit OS.

Unless something changes before then.

If I install ACA 2008 on a 64bit os with one of the fixes published here, will I have problems installing an ACA 2009 update when it comes, and if so will this now work at 64bit or will it be 'stuck' on 32bit because of the fix.

ACA-2008 with the x64 'workaround' and ACA-2009 are separate installs
that should not effect each other in this regard.

You have to be on Subscription Support through Autodesk. Then you access
it via the subscription center (http://www.autodesk.com/subscription)

If you are not on subscription contact your reseller and if they don't
already have the patch, they can get it from Autodesk Support.
