My 3D Visual Style always plots colour - I need Monochrome

I have created a new 3D visual style so hidden lines are shown but now i cant get the file to plot monochrome, is there a way to do this please?

How things plot is determined by your plotstyle table, not by your visual
style.

I have the same issue where the hidden line representation in a 3D view is not registering the linewieghts. The Plot style is set correctly with the desired ctb, but the 3d view ignores this for some reason. Even if the visual style is ensured that faceted edges are set to display by layer they do not. What else am I missing here? Thanks.

I figured it out from another post: 

 

Select viewport and right click

 

Under "Shade Plot" choose hidden

 

Then it works.
