_mtedit Cannot find shell program

I used to be able to use the command ED to edit dimension and mtext, I can't do it anymore and I got this "Cannot find shell program" message, could someone help me? Thanks!

MTEXTED variable, what is it set to?

Hi, thanks for helping!

It doesn't look like MTEXTED is set to anything, this is the message I got when I entered the command. Enter new value for MTEXTED, or . for none <" ">:
