Lighting and Electrical blocks (legends)

Hello all,

I'm a student and I'm designing an electrical plan and a ceiling plan. Basically, what I'm looking for is CAD blocks of the light fxture and electrical plans (as shown in legends), so I can just insert the blocks into my drawing.

Do you know how to get them for free or if Auto CAD has it somewhere?

Thanks,

Paula

Are you using AutoCAD Architecture or plain AutoCAD?

Both should have some out-of-the-box symbols.  Tool palettes would be the first place to look.

Hi,

I'm  using AutoCAD Architecture (2013 student version).

How do I download those symbols? I can't figure it out 😞

Thanks,

Paula

Click the Insert Tab of the Ribbon; then on the far right, open the Content Browser,  select the Design Tool Catalog and select Electrical.    Another location for tools is the Design Center--also located on the Insert Tab in the same location as the Content Browser.

Hello what do you do after, if they're not in the DC and places you say they are?  How can I download them from space?

Are you sure you are running AutoCAD ARCHITECTURE? use ABOUT command to confirm what you are running, then post that info here.
