Layer settings

Hello,

Can anyone help me with an answer for the following issue?:

Is there a way for a layer change (for ex. colour) in an element to update through all files it is attached to (construct, view, sheet)?

For ex. if I change the colour of an abject in an element, I have to detach and reatach in all the files until the sheet file (the element in construct, the construct in view and the view in sheet).

Couple of options, which may help:

  • Under Project Properties->Drawing Settings - set Match Sheet View Layers to View to 'Yes'. This will get you almost there.
  • Look into VISRETAIN system variable to see if this is a workable solution for your situation.
  • Try out Layer States.

I don't know how to work with layer states. The VISRETAIN variable does the job for me. thank you.
