Installed Autodesk Architecture 2015 but can't open any files

I intalled Autodesk Architecture 2015.  The program opens, but when I try to click on any of the buttons, like to open a file, the icon blinks but nothing happens.  I can't even close out of the program.  I have to go to the task manager and quit.  I tried repaiing the install, and it worked for a couple days. Then same thing happened again, this time repair did not fix it.  I tried reinstalling from control panel, and this has not worked either.  Should I try completetly uninstalling and reinstalling the software?  I did install service pack 2, but I don't see that I installed SP1.  Thank you.

which OS you use?

Have you stoped the virus-scan (which one) while installation?

I am using Windows 8.1 Pro. I just uninstalled an am going to try a
reinstall, but of course in my frustration, forgot to use the License
Transfer Utility. Is there a way to manage this online once you have
uninstalled?
