Hatch does not appear in pspace

My hatch shows up in blue when in mspace. when in pspace, the hatch dissappears.

Is your hatch associative?  Is the viewport through which you are viewing the hatch on a layout (paper space) set to a scale that has not been added to the associative hatch, and is show annotative objects for all scales turned off?  If so, the hatch (text, block, etc.) will not be seen.
