What is a text height chart and why do you need one?

It a chart that shows all the Scales & the text height at the various scales. Like 1/8",1/4",etc.

Like 1/4" text uses a factor of 16",Etc.

Aren't you using annotation scaling?  With it on you can forget about that chart.

In any case, if you really want one, create a table that shows the chart the way you want (or import an image of the chart).  Save the drawing and then drag the drawing onto a palette (if you want to use palettes) or add an insert command to your drop down menu: "^c^c_insert disk:\path\chartname 1 1 0"

Here is  a link for a pdf

Here is a link for an html file

This is how you google it.

1 Use CUI

2 Add a new command

3 In the command text box, enter the insert command text I posted.

4. Choose an icon for your command.

5.Then in the quick toolbar, drag the command to your toolbar

Here is a video for adding a command to insert an external block.

Find the dropdown menu in your cui and add the new command there.  You must make the new command first and then add it to the menu.  I have no idea, what dropdown menu you are thinking about.  Attach a picture of your ACA screen or your CUI.

I don't know what else to tell you.  The drop down node looks good.  It looks like you have your command there.  It won't work however, until you get the command string correct.

If you persist in having trouble with CUI, switch tactics and use palettes.  There is no particular advantage to having things on the ribbon.

What would i save the image of text heights as ?

Do you really need to put it into a drawing?  If so, I would use a pdf and then use the pdfattach command.  Otherwise, the most readable images are monochrome bitmap images (IMO).

If you are just using this for reference just make the command:

browser2 http://www.complicad.com/TextHeights.htm

It will open a broswer and direct it to that webpage.
