Filleting Polylines

Hi:

Ever since we've installed ACAD Architecture 2012, I have not been able to fillet a polyline with a regular line and have the regular line adopt the same width as the original polyline.   The line will change color and layer and become a part of the polyline, but remain at a zero width.   The problem persists whether I'm filleting a polyline to a line or a polyline; either way, I have to go through the process of opening the properties box -- after filleting -- and set the global width parameter.   Not helpful or efficient, especially since I didn't have to do that in the previous CADs.

Since we've uninstalled the previously used versions of CAD, I can't go back and try to reverse engineer the problem.  Can anyone tell me is there a setting somewhere to fix this or was this another change to how things get done in CAD?
