I get a fatal error when I try to edit wall hatch. Why?

Thanks,

Marc

Verision of ACA?

Computer specifications, including operating system, 32 bit/64 bit and amount of RAM?

Size of file?

How are you editing "wall hatch"?  Are you placing display overrides and, if so, at style or at object level?  Is the hatch defined in a Material Definition?  Or is this not a Wall Component, but simply an AutoCAD Hatch object?

Version of autocad - 2013 - just loaded last week

It is a wall type. I can change anything about the wall except the hatch. When I try I get the error.

Computer is the same as when I was running ACA 2010.

Windows Home Premium

RAM 6 GB

System Type 64-bit

Size of file - 674 KB

How are you editing "wall hatch"? - By clicking on the tab "Display Properties" in the style manager window, then click on the tab "Plan" and that is when it gives the error.

Are you placing display overrides and, if so, at style or at object level? - No

Is the hatch defined in a Material Definition? - Not that I know of.

I wblocked the drawing out to see if this may fix the problem, it did not.

Thanks for the help.

Marc

Unless you are running a lot of other programs at the same time, 6 GB ought to be enough to handle a 674 KB file.

Have you had any other problems?

Have you installed all service packs/updates/hot fixes for ACA 2013?

I see there are a number of items under AutoCAD Architecture 2013 on the Auto Desk web site. Do I only load AutoCAD Architecture 2013 Service Pack 1?

Thanks,

Marc

You will want to install SP1.  You should look through the Hotfixes to see if any apply to your situation.
