Error with blocks

Hello there,

my colleague is getting error messages when

he´s editing a block at it´s current position. We

can´t quite make sense of it yet. Currently we´re

installing the Service Pack2 for FDS2013 and

most certqinly hope the problem will subside then

I attached a screenshot and the *.err file. Sadly it´s

in German and I´m not versed in the English version

enough to use the right vocabulary.

It roughly says: "One or more objects in the drawing

can´t be saved in the defined format. The task has

not been completed and no file has been saved".

The *.err file states an internal error with error code

!dbobji.cpp@8800

Help will be greatly appreciated.

Kind regards

Daniel

Did you try doing AUDIT to fix the file - does this allow you to save it?

Does it make any difference wether to save the file locally or on a network share?

The cause can be several different reasons: corrupted drawing, low free disk space, file server issues, or a missing drive (such as a USB drive that is no longer connected).

If you do not have the Architecture/MEP object enablers installed with both your AutoCAD Architecture and MEP programs, here is the download page:

http://usa.autodesk.com/getdoc/id=DL20129375

The object enablers may not be a part of the problem, but all your installations should be on the same page, so to speak.

Another potential root cause may be 3rd party applications that have been used for creating/modifying the file. If you have been using any 3rd party add-on, you also might want to contact the support of the respective tool.

Hello Holger,

yes we tried AUDIT but it did not make a difference.

In fact AutoCAD did not accept this command at all,

telling us it´s unknown.

Installing the linked file seemed not to solve the prob-

lem at a first glance. The error message still appea-

red with both- server and locally stored - files and re-

sulted in an acess violation error. We did not restart

the machine after the installation until then.

After restarting the machine everything worked fine.

This probably is due to the installation of the link you

provided, so thank you very much. We will keep track

of the issue and we will inform you if it happens again.

So thank you and Dankeschön

Daniel
