Enclosed endcap

Been trying to make an enclosed endcap for a window. We want to show the trim around the residential windows as per attached drawing. The top condition is what we want the bottom is what we get. I have to alter the endcap to avoid error messages. Is there a way to accomplish this?

Hi K. Skoog,
In this case, you could either:
Get the wrapping trim on a window using a custom block or
Use Door/Window Assemblies with a profile for the frame.
Personally, I find the 2nd approach easier to work with, and gives you a decent plan & 3D representation of a wrapping frame.
Hope this helps.
Thanks,
Sam

Looks great. Will this work on window and door openings? I placed a window and door into the wall and the endcaps do not appear. I changed the endcaps to different style and still no luck. Thanks again.

Have you modified your wall style to have this endcap used for your wall openings? Edited by: Jkrieg on Apr 28, 2009 1:18 PM

I got it figured out. I just needed to go one step further. All works great. Thanks again.
