DWG TO PDF - RETAINING LAYERS

Good afternoon,

How do I convert a DWG to PDF or PSD and retain the layers? Im using Architecture 2008 (Upgrading to 2010 this week) and Acrobat 7.0 Pro.

Feature of 2009, 2010, any add on or any other software anyone may know of? I received a PDF of a CAD drawing that allows me to turn off / on layers at will. Unfortunately the person who sent it to me received it from someone else, etc. etc. etc. so I have no way of asking the person who originated the file.
