Dimensioning ACA 2011

In previous releases you could dimension an entire building wall by dimensioning to the first interior wall and then by "entering", you could just continue selecting points with which to dimension with single picks all along the wall.  This does seem to work with  2011.  2011 makes you select the previous dimension, prior to continuing, each dimension. What am I doing wrong?

You always had to select the last dimension if you've not dimensioned during a session: 2011 is not different here. Could that be the difference you see?

The last version of ACAD I used was ARCH  2008 and it worked fine there.  This was a good tool.

Maybe I have to change some setting?

Which exact command name are you invoking? What is the command line noting as sequence?
