Dimension scale factor strangeness

Using ACA 2012 and Win7 Pro x64. My dimstyle calls for a scale factor of 48 in paper space viewports. When I draw a dimension in paper space the scale factor is not used and the dimension displays as a distance 48X larger than it should be. When I draw a second dimension using the exact same points the scale factor is used. What setting have I screwed up to cause this to happen?

I had a similar item occur for quite a while and I was not able to solve this problem.

I never had this occure unitl my last two upgrades (one 2012 now). I came across a blog and I change my dimstyle parameters. Go to the dimstyle and select the FIT tab and select the annotate with dimension line box.

Hopefully this works

In ACA why not use annotative dimension styles?

That's what they are there for.

Creating dimstyles tied to dimscales is not utilizing what ACA (or autocad) can do for you automatically.
