Detail Component Manager not loading loading from time to time

Ok some times when I go to run details it pops up that it can not load the component database AecDtlComponents (US).mdb file. I go to options and can not do anything there. So I have to close it all down and hope when I reload AA it works. 9 out of 10 times it does. But this is a pain to do when ever you need to add detail stuff. anyone got any ideas. Oh also this happens on more then one computer in the office. running 2012 with sp and all updates on windows 7

Are you an Administrator or Power User on your PC?  Where is the details database stored?  Is it on a network server?  Maybe on a NAS or SAN drive?  If it is on a server, what is the operating system?

Where is the details database stored?  Local but also tried on server

Is it on a network server? Tried that

Maybe on a NAS or SAN drive?

If it is on a server, what is the operating system? Windows Server 2008 SP2.  OS, Program Files and data is all on the primary (C:) partition

The odd thing is it happens on a couple computers and only from time to time. This week it's been great no errors.

What version of MS Office do you have installed?  Older Office versions may not play well with the mdb Access database file...  How about your Windows UAC controls?  Are they set to "Never Notify?"  BTW:  Are you an Administrator, or a Power User?  You said "Yes" and I was looking for one or the other. 😉

You mentioned that the files cannot be accessed "occasionally."  That makes me wonder if it is a network timing issue or something or someone happens to be accessing the file at the same time.  Maybe two users are sharing the centralized mdb file and occasionally using details manager at the same time.  Maybe a server backup kicks off and ties up that file, or an antivirus program scan throws off the network timing.  Do you see any of these as possibilities?

Ok I was hoping this would have gone away with 2013 but it did not.

The files are in the defualt location.

C:\ProgramData\Autodesk\ACA 2013\enu\Details\Details (US)\AecDtlComponents (US).mdb

Have access 2007 on the computers.

again when you start autocad everytime it's working then after sometime it will not load the database file.

Thanks,
