designing the project directory structure on a server to work with autocad

My server files directory is  a mess.  I need to redesign the project file structure and substructure to work with autocad 2015 design suite products.  We are a very small boutique design firm and do not get involved in designing MEP or engineering issues.

I am not sure what information you are looking for in particular. 

In terms of requirements for a network folder structure there is not much to pay attention to. 

You might however want to keep the filefolder length as short as possible when mapping any network drives. 

When using very long filefolder pathes (with lots of subfolders), this has a tendency to cause issues when working in Project Navigator.
