Backup file

What is the file that needs to backed up so if you run ACA2010 side by side
with ACA2009 and have a problem then I can uninstall ACA2010 restore the
backup file and ACA 2009 will still work without reinstalling it?
TIA

No such single file: you may or may not have to reinstall ACA2009.

What is it exactly you want to avoid, or restore? Maybe it's something else
you seek.

And you do know that once ACA2010 touches your dwg files all AEC content are
lost to ACA2009 and lower forever, right?

no such luck, do a restore instead of a reinstall. Repairs all content and
registry items that was changed in the uninstall of 2010. But like dean
said. Once you open and save it in 2010, ACA2009 is not going to open it.

'Restore' or is it 'Repair'?

There is a file that gets overwritten with the new version. Lets just work
with ACA2008 and ACA2009, forget ACA2010. Let me ask this, if I'm running
ACA2008 and put on ACA2009 and find out that it won't work correctly, like
Pedro Aroso found out with 2009, and uninstall 2009, will ACA2008 still run
correctly? I thought that there was a file that had to be backed up to
replace the one that referenced ACA2009, otherwise, you have to do a full
reinstall of ACA2008. I don't want to do that since I'd loose my
customization.

Well what I was afraid of has now happened. The file that I am referring to
has something to do with unloading a newer version and braking the older
one. I had to unload my ACA 2011 beta to load the newer version and after I
reloaded it, I get this error on my ACA 2010 at the command line. Now
remember I just have the default Drawing 1 open. "Command: _quit
Document "Drawing1.dwg" has a command in progress. Hit enter to cancel or
[Retry]:

So now what? What was that file that causes this?
