Autocad Architecture file size against Revit Architecture

Im currently using Autocad Architecture, is it true that Autocad Architecture creates a bigger file size compared to Revit Architecture? Lets say that same structure and components are created.

Do you have both apps? REVIT does not have an AutoCAD base, it's more efficient at model building.

Revit places all drawing/BIM information into one file while ACA (like autocad on which it's based), uses separate files. So it's difficult to compare one v the other.

In Revit, you will probably only have 1 file for the architectural portion of the project, and that file may be 40 Mb (for an average size project - branch bank or small office).

In CAD, you might have 40 files at 1 Mb apiece for a similar sized project.

All that aside, is there any reason you're concerned about file size?  Surely not because of storage, since you can get a Tb for about $50.  And if you're concerned about whether or not your computer can handle the larger file size, you're probably going to have problems either one you use.  CAD and Revit are both pretty memory-intensive programs, regardless of the file size, although CAD files max out at around 5 MB (in my experience), while Revit files (on large projects) can hit 150 Mb or more.
