annotative leader/text

Why don't my annotative leaders and text drawn in model space show up in paper space?

Is the scale of your paper space viewport the same as the scale that was active in model space when the annotative content was created?  If not, has the paper space viewport scale been added to the annotative content?  Is the system variable ANNOALLVISIBLE set to one?  (You can toggle this value by using the tool on the Drawing Status Bar immeditately to the right of the scale control - the icon looks like the end of an architectural scale with a light bulb.  If the light bulb is "lit" - yellow - then ANNOALLVISIBLE is set to one.)  If the answer to all three questions is no, then the annotative content will not display, even if its layer is thawed, on and viewport thawed, and the currently active Display Representations call for any AEC annotative content to be shown.
