I have successfully installed Autocad 2012 Architecture 64-bit. When I try to start the program it
hangs up trying to check the license. I have uninstalled it (followed up with ccleaner to remove all traces from the registry) and reinstalled it with no change in the symptoms. I have disabled the virus protection during startup in case that was blocking a needed port. I searched the forums, but couldn't find any advice that got me any farther. I am running Windows 7 64-bit, 8G ram, 1T harddrive. My contact ID is 19906109. I ran the 2011 version for my classes last year and at the end of the year the program stopped working. I uninstalled it and installed 2012 since it was available. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. The homework assignments have started and I am dead in the water at home. Thanks!
One reason could be due to corrupt cascading, check:
In case if you have Network license:
http://usa.autodesk.com/getdoc/id=TS14908069
Incase if you have Standalone license:
http://usa.autodesk.com/getdoc/id=TS15176093
Hope this helps.
